Sun1 Durban Hotel

I found great value for my money , and the room wasvery comfy and tidy. The location is convenient, right next to a bus station, and while not perfect, the staff was friendly at check-out.

The morning meal could benefit from more variety in the options available.

The room was family-friendly and included central heating, multi-channel television and a writing desk. Very comfy bed and the bathroom was clean. The hotel was in an unbeatable location really close to the transport, and the city, the intercape bus stop, Suncoast casino and venue, Moses Mabhida and the beach and the centre. The daily service was excellent

I stayed at Sun1 for three nights, using it as a convenient pit stop during my travels. I greatly appreciated how close it was to the bus station, making it super easy to get around. The online check-in and check-out were hassle-free, and the staff was attentive, even calling to check on my late arrival. My room was clean with fresh white sheets, and I enjoyed the affordability of my stay overall.

I enjoyed my stay while visiting the Durban Natural Science Museum and the nearby Durban Art Gallery, both within a short walking distance. The shower in my Standard Triple Room was particularly nice, providing a great experience after a long day of sightseeing. Although there were some maintenance issues during my stay, the comfort of the bed and the cleanliness of the towels made it a pleasant visit overall.

One morning, I savored a good continental breakfast that started my day off on a positive note. Being from Dublin, I appreciated the serene atmosphere during my time here.

The air conditioning could have been better. There were issues with maintenance like non-working lamps. A fridge in the room would have been beneficial.
